Art Boyt is a founder of SolSource GreenBuild, which designs and oversees construction of energy-efficient homes using renewable energy. He also is chief technical officer for SolSource Teknologi, which provides solar services and products, and professor emeritus with Crowder College and the Missouri Alternative and Renewable Energy Technology Center based there.

Art is internationally known for his solar expertise, having directed the design and construction of the first solar-powered vehicle to successfully complete a coast-to-coast journey of the United States. His students at Crowder College went on to build two solar houses for national competitions.

Art has an associate’s degree from Crowder College; a B.A. degree in math from Missouri State University; and an M.S. degree in zoology from the University of Florida.
